Kindergarten Admissions Checklist
Priority Consideration in Kindergarten Admissions is given to siblings.
| 1 | Campus VisitCall our Admissions Director, Colleen Sullivan, at 423-0341 ext 302, to schedule a visit! You can tour the school and/or observe a classroom. Tours are usually scheduled on Tuesday and Thursday mornings. You may also wish to attend Kindergarten Information Night. At this adults-only event you can meet our kindergarten teachers, hear about the kindergarten curriculum and have your questions answered by teachers and current kindergarten parents. This year's event will be: February 18, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. |
| 2 | ApplicationComplete the Application for Admission, Parent Questionnaire, and Outside Assessments/ Records Form and submit with your $75 fee. Application Deadline: February 28, 2010 |
| 3 | School RecordsPlease give the Pre-Kindergarten Teacher’s Report form to your child’s current teacher. Include for them a stamped envelope addressed to: Gateway School Admissions, 126 Eucalyptus Avenue, Santa Cruz CA 95060. The report must be mailed directly to the school. |
| 4 | Academic AssessmentSchedule your child for one of the following kindergarten readiness assessments. January 23, February 6 and February 20 at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. |
| 5 | Evaluation and NotificationApplications will be evaluated and admissions letters mailed once steps 1-4 are complete. |
